DiagBox is the official OEM diagnostic platform developed by ACTIA for PSA Group (now Stellantis). It is not a generic OBD2 code reader or an aftermarket approximation — it is the actual factory tool that authorized dealer technicians use every day. No other diagnostic software provides the same depth of access to PSA vehicle systems.
DiagBox v9.208 combines the legacy Lexia (Citroën) and PP2000/Planet (Peugeot) platforms into one unified tool. It covers every Peugeot, Citroën, DS, and select Opel/Vauxhall vehicle manufactured from 1988 through late 2024.
This version requires no activation. The software is pre-configured to work immediately after installation. All core diagnostic functions operate fully offline — no license server, no tokens, no recurring fees.
Reads and clears manufacturer-specific DTCs across every installed ECU — engine, automatic gearbox, ABS/ESP, airbag, BSI (Body Systems Interface), instrument cluster, climate control, parking assistance, infotainment (SMEG/NAC), electric power steering, and all other networked modules. Displays full PSA fault descriptions with fault status and context data — not just generic P-codes. The Global Test view shows all modules simultaneously with color-coded status indicators.
Real-time sensor data streams in list or graphical format with up to 9 parameters displayed simultaneously. Available parameters include coolant temperature, intake air temperature, exhaust gas temperature, battery voltage, lambda/oxygen sensor readings, mass airflow, fuel rail pressure, turbo boost pressure, throttle position, injection timing, and hundreds more. Data can be logged to file for offline analysis of intermittent faults.
Activate and deactivate individual components on command: fuel pump activation, individual injector testing, EGR valve cycling, turbo actuator operation, throttle body tests, cooling fan activation, door lock/unlock, window operation, horn, exterior and interior lighting, wiper activation, HVAC blower control, and ABS valve cycling. This bi-directional capability is what separates dealer-grade tools from passive code readers.
Access 300+ configurable BSI parameters on newer vehicles. Activate or deactivate features including: cruise control, speed limiter, reversing sensors, parking assistance, tow bar module, daytime running lights, automatic door locking at speed, TPMS monitoring, blind-spot detection sensitivity, CD changer recognition, comfort lighting behavior, and many more. Telecoding operates fully offline for vehicles manufactured up to approximately 2015–2016.

Bottom line: DiagBox is the factory tool. Everything else is a partial approximation. No aftermarket scanner can replicate full BSI telecoding, ECU firmware flashing, or PSA-specific guided diagnostic procedures.
Primary interface: Lexia 3 (PSA XS Evolution) — connects to the vehicle OBD-II port via USB. Full-chip clones with 12 NEC relays and 7 optocouplers provide reliable performance for all diagnostic functions.
Alternative: VXDIAG VCX SE for PSA — modern interface with USB and WiFi support. Covers CAN-bus vehicles from 2006 onward (no K-Line for older pre-CAN models).
Addon: S.1279 diagnostic module may be required for certain models (Bipper, Nemo, Boxer III, Jumper III) to access all controllers.

Does it really work without activation? Yes. This version is pre-configured to operate without Stellantis server authentication. All core offline functions work immediately — fault codes, live data, actuator tests, service resets, and telecoding for pre-2016 vehicles.
What’s the difference between v9.208 and older versions like v9.91 or v7.83? Version 9.208 includes the latest vehicle database covering models through October 2024, native Windows 11 compatibility, improved stability over the v9.91 release, and support for hybrid vehicle connectivity. The v7.83 release only covers vehicles up to approximately 2015 and requires 32-bit Windows.
Can I do telecoding on vehicles after 2016? Telecoding on post-2016 vehicles requires online authentication through the Stellantis Service Box portal. This is a server-side restriction in the vehicle ECUs, not a software limitation. Pre-2016 telecoding works fully offline.
Does it work with hybrid and electric PSA vehicles? Yes. DiagBox v9.208 connects to hybrid models including plug-in hybrid variants of the 3008, 508, C5 Aircross, DS 7, and others.
What hardware do I need? A Lexia 3 (PSA XS Evolution) interface — either genuine or a quality full-chip clone. Connect to the vehicle via OBD-II and to your PC via USB.
